The Cult of the Mac
(BBC News)
-
The loyalty of the Macintosh community is legendary, and at MacWorld, you really feel the love. It's not too often that BoyCaught truly experiences the epiphany, that shining, intellectually orgasmic moment when, but for a shining instant, the real truth rings in your ears, clearly and unmistakably. Well, surprise! BoyCaught just had an epiphany about the state of the Black man in America today. Important certainly to BoyCaught, if no one else. The epiphany was triggered by the words on the T-shirt depicted in the photo to the right: It's a Mac thing, you wouldn't understand ... That line, of course, is borrowed from a militant African American expression, one very similar: It's a Black thing, you wouldn't understand. The epiphany: if people were computers, the Black man would be a Macintosh. Now think about that for a second, you soft, libertarian busta: all of the parallels are there
Much more on this to come, shortly. Please stay tuned ...
