Cop Blog
(LAPD)
-
"Welcome to the LAPD Blog...[t]he continuing decline in crime in Los Angeles has positioned the LAPD at the tipping point for change."Wow! A cop blog, copping concepts from Gladwell no less! What's that cop line from Blues Brothers: "It's got a cop motor... cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks." And if it's going to be a blog of any note, it better have cop attitude! You have to give LAPD props for trying to extend that long, sometimes incompetent, often brutal arm of law out into cyberspace. Let's hope they provide more insight into crime reduction strategy and genuine community relations in this space, and not just keystone kapers. But seriously, do we want our police spending their time online, blogging and doing PR, and not on the streets, stopping real bad guys? Think about it.
