Crazy Frog ringtone tops British charts
(Engadget)
-
[T]op-of-the-chartsters Coldplay were given a sound 4-1 trouncing by one supremely ridiculous ringtone known as Crazy Frog Axel F, which moved in to the top slot on the British singles chart yesterday. This is just more proof that the music industry is a walking corpse. Today's so-called "top" pop acts must really suck - I mean really suck - if they can be beaten by irritating phone muzak. On the other hand, I'll take Beyonce or Britney any day, over having to hear some loser's cellphone go off with rude, annoying ringtones that sound like garbage, and are, did I mention, rude and annoying. Man, the decline of this society is really picking up momentum, aided and abetted by trifling technology.
