Polar Ball
(Toy Directory)
-
New to retail outfits, the Polar Ball has actually been used in leagues and some organizations for quite some time. It comes in both a "real" football size and a smaller "toy" size, and it's basically a football with Velcro strips attached. The ball comes with a Velcro glove for easy catching. To be honest, at first, I didn't think this was a good idea. But, as it turns out, it's really, really fun. We got our hands on the toy size model, and have been throwing it around the office like crazy. I took it to the beach the other day...guess what? It's fun there too. I spoke to inventor/patent holder Steve Allgeier, and he claims it works in the pool as well. I'll be reporting on that soon. I really like the Polar Ball, and it seems others do too: It is being used by the WFL, and in many YMCA programs.Disclosure: A friend of mine is involved in the distribution of this product.
