Tech Firms Send Workers on Vacation
(TechTV)
-
In response to the slowing economy, some of the industry's biggest firms are making vacation time mandatory this summer. With Independence Day falling on a Wednesday this year, many companies decided that the first week of July would be the best time to close up shop.Fine and good, but BoyCaught wonders if this is all just a prelude to forced part-time employment. Who needs FTE's anyway? What better way to control the masses than by keeping them on a yo-yoing leash of on-again-off-again employment. Given that the top executives gobble up most of the compensation and perks anyway, how come they never consider going on vacation themselves?
