Learn how to backup your data, frequently. Your computer will eventually fail. Trust me on this.

On May 31, 2003: I had a massive hard drive failure today, and pretty much lost most of the weblog that's not posted online. All of the comments ever posted on the blog are gone, so that's bad, to lose that "second voice." Most of the templates and many other things, like images and a bunch of cool scripts are gone as well. Surprisingly, I'm not that bothered about it, since it's happened before, and like I said, most of the weblog is archived. It's just the actual day-to-day tools that need to be rebuilt ... or extracted off of the bad drive. This might be time for a fresh start and a new look. Remember to backup your sh*t, boys and girls. I probably won't be able to post for a while during the upcoming reconstruction. Probably sometime towards the end of this week.
Nearly two weeks later: I've recovered enough data to safely say that I'm back ... for you nine or ten infrequent lurkers readers. But summer's almost here anyway. That's when blogging -- and all indoor activities -- take a backseat. While the sun is shining you need to get out. Blog after dark baby!
